Ember is a hound mix who was suffering from heartworms. Her family adopted her, fell in love with her, and then discovered that she’d had heartworms when she was given to them. Unprepared for the cost of the expensive treatment and in love with the dog, her family went about searching for help. The Big Hearts Fund was able to work with Ember’s owners to cover the remaining cost of treatment that they could not afford in its entirety.
Ember will now have a long and happy life with the family who loves her!
